We completed the last shelf in the cupboards in the small hall. We also fitted boards under the stage and replaced the light bulb outside the gent’s toilet. Pantomime prop sign had a second side fitted and both sides were painted white along with supports. Measured the ladies toilet area for tiling & made a giant key prop for the pantomime.…

This evening we installed shelves into 3 of the small hall cupboards and knobs were fitted to the doors. The panel in the ladies toilet is being prepared for painting by sanding down the old plaster and re-plastering where needed. We also went up into the Session Room loft and brought down the old gates which will be used as stage props for the pantomime.…

Tonight, we sanded the plaster work from last week and removed loose tiles in the ladies toilet. We found veneer below which was badly wrinkled due to wet chip board. We plan to let this dry before re-tiling.…

In the ladies toilet, we took off the old plaster and removed the flaking paint. Re-plastered & applied PVA glue to prevent future flaking of paint and cleared things up. We also unblocked the gents toilet.…

The pillars at the front entrance were painted again this evening. We have been looking at possible future jobs. Next week we intend to sand the fence parallel to the gym path. The following week we are hoping to paint it and that will be the last work party activity until after the summer.…

Part 2 of clearing out the work party cupboard. We also cleared the dust on walls of the stairwell and have started putting the umbrella stands from the dunny cupboard back into their place at the sides of the pews. There will be no work party next week.…
